Sacred Heart Church of Chazy, New York, a 425+ family Catholic parish located in the Clinton Deanery of the Diocese of Ogdensburg, welcomes you! Established in July 1898, this parish has witnessed the Catholic Faith in the Chazy community for over 111 years. The first Sacred Heart Church was built in 1901. The present church, dedicated and opened in 1968, was renovated and renewed in 2004. Much information about the parish in on this website. Enjoy! Come, visit us in person. We are located in the northeast corner of New York State just off Interstate 87 (Northway) at exit 41 about ten miles north of Plattsburgh and 60 miles south of Montreal. The eastern side of the parish borders the beautiful shores of Lake Champlain. This is God's country! Directions: I-87 exit 41 Chazy, turn right from South, turn left from North, go 1 mile, turn right onto Route 9, turn left onto Church Street, Sacred Heart is on the right.

It is most prudent to begin preparations one year in advance of the wedding date.
Catholics are encouraged to request the Sacrament of the Sick at the time of a serious illness or before surgery. The Anointing is celebrated communally in the Fall and Spring.
All Members of the parish are asked to register. Sacred Heart warmly welcomes new parishioners. Everyone who has received the Sacrament of Confirmation should be registered in his or her own name even when living at home. This is especially important when planning marriage or seeking to be a sponsor at Baptism or Confirmation.
Please notify the Parish Office if you or a member of your family is hospitalized. Because of federal privacy rules, if you are admitted to CVPH, give this information:  you are a Catholic, and  a Sacred Heart Parishioner. If you do not give this information, your name is not available to the hospital chaplain or the clergy.
